Giuseppe Dezza

The ship was a mine seeker during World War 1, and after it was rebuilt into a torpedo bomber with the new name Giuseppe Dezza. The Germans captured the ship after and renamed it TA 35. In 1945 the ship was torpedoed and blown up into two parts, which lie today some 100 m away from each other. Among divers this wreck has the popular name “The insidious”. The dive itself normally happens at the stern. There you will find a conserved anti aircraft gun, covered with sponges, moss and algea, but still ominously pointing upwards. At this place you may often encounter a john dory, lobster, scorpionfish or big school of damselfish.
